The Power of Transformation
With Sarah Eckersley and Jenny Clark
Friday 6th November - Sunday 8th November 2020
Transformation is found in your ability to let go. By stepping out of your comfort zone into a place of space and surrender. By harnessing these qualities and giving yourself permission to feel YOU are able to transform to a place of strength and growth through love and letting go.
Join myself and my great friend and yoga teacher, Jenny Clark for a luxurious weekend in the beautiful British countryside. Located close to the sea, you will have the opportunity to move and rest in equal measure.
Harnessing the power of the lunar calendar the process of transformation will be woven throughout the weekend, encouraging you to slow down, let go and create space wherever you feel it is most needed. In-between there will be ample time to feed your soul with deep rest, fresh sea air, star gazing, time to read, flowing movement, calming yin and nourishing food.
Nestled in three acres of mature grounds, the house brims with personality and charm. Amongst all its quirky nooks and cranny’s there is ample indoor and outdoor space for leisurely group activities and relaxation. The ground floor consists of a large open plan kitchen and snug with an adjoining dining room that opens onto the generous terrace. A cosy library and two further large receptions are wonderful spaces for fireside socialising, or just putting your feet up.
Venturing outside the house, there are a multitude of spaces to enjoy without having to step off the property. You can stroll through the orchard, admire the rose garden or enjoy the warmth of the fire pit under the stars, watched over by the full-size African elephant (yes really!).
Located right by West Wittering beach and the Sussex Downs the more adventurous souls will have the opportunity to walk and explore the local delights in the fresh November air. The perfect opportunity to blow out the cobwebs with Mother Nature.
YOUR YOGINIS | SARAH & JENNY
I will be collaborating with my great friend and wonderful Yogini, Jenny Clark over the course of the weekend to bring you a beautiful blend of asana (physical yoga practice), meditation and relaxation. Having found our love for each other through our passion for yoga we have worked hard to forge a weekend to move your body and nourish your soul.
About Me, Sarah
I came to yoga seven years ago when a knee injury prevented me from doing my normal exercise. As I committed to my recovery I found I was experiencing a number of unexpected benefits including better sleep and reduced anxiety levels.
During that time, I was working in the fast-paced and stressful world of PR and yoga became my sanctuary. Eventually my passion for this ancient artform gave me the courage to quit my job and transition to the role of yoga teacher.
Since completing my Yoga Teacher Training in 2016 I have taught hundreds of classes across London. I work in a range of studios and gyms and love bringing yoga to the corporate world where I host classes in board rooms. I also enjoy working with a number of private clients and professional rugby players.
This diverse range of experiences has really reinforced my belief that yoga is for everyone and as such I ensure my classes are as welcoming and enjoyable for beginners to regular practitioners. Having experienced the mental and emotional benefits of yoga alongside the physical I weave elements of mindfulness into every class so students feel completely nourished in mind body and soul.
Jenny went to her first yoga class in Byron Bay when she was 16 and since then she’s been returning home to her yoga practice in all its magic.
A 330 hour Vinyasa & Yin yoga teacher, registered with the Yoga Alliance, Jenny trained with The Frame Academy, The Yoga People and Sunday School Yoga.
Since her first training in 2017 she’s been teaching Vinyasa, Yin, Power & Yoga Nidra for corporates, privates, yoga brunch clubs and at a range of studios across London. Jenny absolutely loves hosting retreats and now runs annual sell-out retreats in Morocco.
Jenny’s goal is to make yoga accessible to everyone, with a fun, relaxed teaching style and a strong emphasis on doing whatever feels good in your body – firm in the belief no one knows your body better than you do. She encourages students to flow with the breath, enjoy themselves and move however feels good. Expect great playlists, grounding, gentle assists and a lovely long savasana.
Her main loves in life are yoga, nature and her dog, Sprog and she’s as excited as I am to be bringing at least 2 of the 3 to our Sussex retreat!
We are honoured to have our friend and long-time catering collaborator Fizz joining us for the weekend. Acting as our very own private chef, Fizz will be curating a menu inspired by nature and her many adventures. The food will be vegetarian, nutritious and colourful. Think long brunches and delicicious dinners with a range of freshly bakes snacks, fresh fruit, ample tea and coffee for you to enjoy inbetween
Fizz works with seasonal - and where possible, local - produce to create fresh, fun & flavourful dishes that are good for both your body and the environment. Top tip: Try her homemade beetroot ketchup which is, in our humble opinion, life changing!.
If you have any dietary requirements please let us know, we cater for all.
